Daejeon--(Newswire) October 26, 2020 -- BJ Biochem (CEO Gugin Jung) announced that it has listed its product SUGARMATE®DGC (Sodium Lauryl Glucose Carboxylate) in the domestic hygiene product raw material code.
The raw material code for sanitary products is a standard under the Sanitary Goods Management Act enacted by the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety, and can be used only when the raw material code is registered.
As the product is certified by the Ministry of Environment and qualified by the chemical registration scheme from the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety, it can be used for kitchen cleaners, and raw materials for sanitary products. Also the surfactant can be used for all kitchen detergents classified into 1, 2, and 3.
SUGARMATE®DGC is a plant-derived anionic surfactant made with coconut and glucose as the main ingredient, and has very low skin irritation, little eye irritation, and no controversy over its harmfulness. In addition, it has soft and rich foam and proper viscosity characteristics, making it suitable for mild shampoo, body, face wash products and infant sanitizers as well as the use of kitchen detergents, which has been listed this time. In particular, it is estimated that it will have a positive impact on the premium product market in the future with the first-class EWG (Environmental Working Group) material suitable for the composition of sulfate-free products, which is a recent trend at local and global markets
